Travel to Stroudsburg

By MiriamStroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Today was just to get from one place to another. We checked out of our hotel in Brooklyn, NY, and took a gauntlet of subway trains via stations that seemed to require us to carry our bags up and down many stairs, until we got to the train out to the airport. Once at the end of that train a lovely lady took pity on our poor lost souls and helped us exit the station and find the right shuttle the rest of the way.

At the airport we hired a tidy Hyundai Sonata and I bravely navigated the highways of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I only took one wrong off ramp and we both blame the nav which told us to use the right lane... which it turned out was the wrong lane.

We stopped off at a couple of places on the way to stretch the legs and give me a break - driving on the wrong side of the road is stressful.

We stopped at Hopatcong State Park and admired the lake before going down the road to grab bagels for lunch.

We had one more stop at the border of New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the Delaware Water Gap. That's the cover image for this post.

We are now relaxing in our room at The Penn Stroud. We have a top floor room with a decent view. This is about all I'm good for today - the journey here was stressful and it's time to chill. Tomorrow we have Sam's wedding to go to!

Sounds stressful. Relax and enjoy the wedding tomorrow.
