Arrived in New York

They let us in to the USA - yay!

The flight from NZ to New York was long but relatively comfortable. I can't say I got an amazing sleep on the plane, but I caught snatches of it here and there.

We got through airport security and customs with little fuss and picked up our bags. Then came the 2 hour mission by various trains to get from JKF airport out to our hotel in Brooklyn.

Clean hotel room bathroom.

The hotel room is compact, but clean and tidy and comfortable. Everything looks very newly done, and the bathroom also looks very new.

Sunset Bagels Cafe and Grill in Brooklyn, NY.
French Toast and quesadillas.
A bottle of Dr Pepper soda.

Since we were looking for food after 9.30pm, our options were limited. But we found a 24 hour place called Sunset Bagels Cafe and Grill a few blocks from the hotel. Nice looking place with a big menu option, all of which is available 24 hours... so I had French Toast for dinner, and Duncan had quesadillas. They were both really good! I tried Dr Pepper for the first time - it tastes like Cherry Cola to me.

It's now 10.30pm and I think we are both done for. The plan for tomorrow is breakfast at the hotel (included) and then spending the day at the Met.
